Chapter 8
IN THIS LESSON
What is Samadhi? The deep state of absorption and one-pointed focus.
Samadhi is the ultimate state of focus and concentration. It’s the state of deep absorption where the mind is fully attuned to the present moment, free from distractions or fluctuations. In this state, the practitioner experiences union with their higher self and the universe.
The ultimate goal: Achieving a state of union with your highest self and the divine.
Samadhi is not just a state of mental focus, but of spiritual union. It’s the realization of oneness with the divine, where there is no separation between self and source. This is the ultimate goal of all practices—union with the higher self.
The four stages of Samadhi: How to deepen your practice and experience true absorption.
Patanjali outlines the four stages of Samadhi:
Dharana (concentration) - Fixing the mind on one object.
Dhyana (meditation) - Sustained meditation on the object.
Samadhi (absorption) - Complete immersion in the object of meditation.
Sahaja Samadhi (natural absorption) - The effortless and natural state of absorption.
